What a fun day of playoff baseball we got yesterday. We had Yordan Alvarez walk it off against Mariners ace Robbie Ray. The Phillies fought off a furious Braves 9th inning comeback attempt, Gerrit Cole looked like his old self, and the Dodgers and Padres played another tight game in the latest chapter of their rivalry. The bets didn’t go that well for us however, going 1-3 but we’re back at it today with a two-game playoff slate, and if you want to play along with us, sign up with any of our affiliates below and take advantage of their sign-up offers. Top MLB Prop Bets for October 12th
Travis d’Arnaud 2+ Total Bases vs Phillies (+145, FanDuel)
I really wanted to try and find some value on the board in this one and I think I did so with d’Arnaud’s 2+ total bases prop. The pitching matchup should be a great one with 21-game winner Kyle Wright of the Braves opposing Phillies high-priced ace Zack Wheeler. Both offenses swung the bats well yesterday even if it took a little while for the Braves bats to heat up. While Wheeler has been very good all season, he hasn’t been quite as good on the road and Travis d’Arnaud has had quite a bit of success against his former teammate throughout his career.
d’Arnaud comes into Game 2 7-for-15 lifetime against Wheeler with two extra-base hits and an OPS os 1.263. d’Arnaud was great for the Braves in their World Series run last season. I think the Braves bounce back today, so lets ride with the hot hand against Wheeler.

Yu Darvish Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+116, FanDuel)
Darvish is quite possibly the most valuable player on the Padres not named Manny Machado. He pitched to a stellar 16-8 record, with an ERA of 3.10 and WHIP at 0.95. He really picked up his K rate beginning July going from around 8.5so/9 over the first 3 months to 11.5so/9 from July until the end of the season.
Tonight he starts against a Dodgers team who he last started against on September 2nd going 7 innings, allowing zero runs, and striking out 9. Like Logan Gilbert yesterday, this prop is preposterously low in my eyes. Darvish has made 16 starts since July and recorded 6 or more strikeouts in 15 of them! If the sportsbooks want to keep handing me plus money on these K props I’m gonna keep playing them. This was a no-brainer addition to our Top MLB Prop Bets for October 12th.
