Finally, the marathon that is the MLB season comes to an end today! It’s just about time for playoff baseball, but we still have one last day of MLB top props to get to. It was a 1-1 day for us yesterday as Chris Flexen fell short of those 3.5 Ks to hit his under, but Zac Gallen struggled a bit against Milwaukee managing just 6 Ks through 5 innings against the Brewers. Top MLB Prop Bets for October 5th
Gavin Sheets o0.5 RBI vs Twins (+139, Caesars)
Hard to pick out much today, but Gavin Sheets should be hitting toward the top of the Sox lineup so I assume he’ll get 4+ at-bats today. No Jose Abreu in the lineup means Sheets probably hits 3rd or 4th. Going up against a right-handed pitcher has been a good formula for success this year for Sheets. He’s got 15 HR and 47 RBI in 333 at-bats against right handed pitching this season, and Louie Varland has been less than stellar through four starts this season and owns a 5.23 ERA on the road in two outings away from Target Field.
Marcus Semien Hit – Game 2 (-210, FanDuel)
Semien was a major addition to the Rangers this past offseason coming off a 45 HR 102 RBI campaign in 2021 for Toronto. His 2022 got off to a horrid start as he hit ONE, yeah a single HR over the teams’ first 47 games and even worse, Marcus was batting .199 heading into June. Since then however, Texas has seen the guy they thought they signed.
Semien is hitting .267 with 25 HR and 65 RBI over the last four months and is looking to close the season out strong. He has hit today’s Yankees starter Domingo German well over his career going 5-for-13 against him with a HR. It was a rough transition for the middle infielder but Semien has proven to still be a threat at the plate and offers tremendous value as one of our Top MLB Prop Bets for October 5th.
