Best MLB Prop Bets: Top MLB Prop Bets for October 4th

Zac Gallen Betsperts Media & Technology Top MLB Prop Bets for October 4th

Two days left in the regular season which means two more days of MLB top props! We went 1-1 in our bets yesterday as the Brewers laid an egg at home with their season on the line against the D’Backs, but thankfully Vladdy Jr was able to pick up a hit in the Blue Jays 5-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles. Just one race left to be decided which is the NL East, it was kept alive Monday thanks to a Marlins 4-0 win against the Braves. Zac Gallen 8+ Ks (+138) & 10+ Ks (+500) vs Brewers (FanDuel)

After backing the Brewers yesterday and seeing them no show, we’re going full fade mode tonight with Zac Gallen on the bump for Arizona. Gallen has been one of the best pitchers in the National League this season. 8 of his last 9 outings have been quality starts, and in his last two against arguably the two best teams in baseball (the Dodgers and Astros) he struck out 19 hitters in 15.0 IP allowing just a combined 3 ER. Milwaukee strikes out almost as much as any team in baseball, they currently rank 4th in the MLB in team strikeouts. Gallen has racked up double digit strikeouts in 2 of his last 4 starts.

Chris Flexen Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+100, DraftKings)

Flexen was removed from the starting rotation in early August and has worked exclusively from the bullpen since then. He’s made 11 apperances since then going more than 2 innings just once and he hasn’t thrown more than 28 pitches in any of his last 8 games. Even as a starter though, Chris wasn’t really a strikeout pitcher accumulating 81 K’s over 117 innings good for only 6.2/9.

Today he’ll open in game one against of Seattle’s double-header against Detroit who has actually been playing really well, winning 11 of their last 13 games. The Tigers have also kept opposing starters under 3.5 K’s in four of their previous seven games with the going over throwing 90+ pitches. I can almost guarantee that after a month plus as a reliever, Flexen WILL NOT be throwing that many pitches and Detroit is playing great baseball.

It’s always dangerous going under on a prop set so low, but all signs point to a short outing and the Tigers are hitting well of late. At even money I’ll gladly take the risk and add this to our Top MLB Prop Bets for October 4th.
