Johnny Cueto celebrates a strikeout

We have a smaller slate of games for Thursday, including some day baseball! We went 1-1 on our game picks and 0-2 with the props last night as Matt Olson didn’t have his best night at the dish. The Padres took a 4-0 lead into the 6th inning of their game against the Giants cruising to that 1st Half result but the Astros and Rangers 1st Half under never really had a chance. So let’s take advantage of the smaller slate today. Getting our odds from BetMGM today. When you sign up with them below you can get a risk free bet up to $1,000 on your initial wager. Royals vs White Sox 1st Half Under 4.5 (+100)

Day baseball bets! The White Sox bats still aren’t really hitting, though the last couple nights the home runs have started to come back a little bit. Johnny Cueto wasa brutal his last start against the Diamondbacks, but outside of that he’s been really good all season for the White Sox. Prior to his bad start against Arizona, Cueto had tossed 10 consecutive quality starts and been right up there with Dylan Cease as the Sox best pitcher. Daniel Mengden starts in what is likely an opener role for the Royals. He’s thrown 4.1 innings across 4 outings this season and allowed just 1 ER. Let’s bank on a bounceback from Cueto.

Shane Bieber (-110) Bet 2u to win 1.82u

The Beiber looked great in August allowing just 6 ER in 33 ⅓ innings and striking out 7 or more batters in three of his five starts. He’s actually gone over this prop in four of his last six starts and is coming off a 9K performance in Seattle last week.

His opponent the Orioles have really made a splash this year but their offense has been a little worse on the road and they were just K’d 7 times by yesterday’s starter Triston Mckenzie. Beiber is Cleveland’s ace and he’ll have to pitch like it if they’re to make the playoffs. Over 6.5 K’s should be no problem for the former Cy Young winner.
