The Nascar Cup Series heads back to Richmond Raceway for this Sunday’s Federated Auto Parts 400. The green flag drops at 3:00 pm et for the scheduled 400-lap race which has been dominated by Toyota’s in the recent past. I headed back to Fanduel Sportsbook to shop all the pre-practice/qualifying odds and found my favorite bets to make ahead of the race. See the Michigan betting results and my Federated Auto Parts 400 card with my best bet below.

Top 10 Finish: William Byron -170
Byron has raced well here the last two seasons. He was really fast in the Spring qualifying 2nd, leading 122 laps, and finishing 3rd. And he has top 10 finishes in two of the last three trips. Willy B. showed plenty of speed at similar tracks this season qualifying 3rd and leading 12 laps in Phoenix. Then he qualified 6th and finished 11th in New Hamshire a few weeks ago. He may only have FIVE top 10’s all season and just ONE over the last 15 races, but he’s far too good at this track and in general not to attack this number.
Outright: Denny Hamlin +600
Hometown cookin! Denny has been incredible at his home track throughout his career. He won this Spring and finishing 2nd during both 2021 races. FIVE of his last six trips here have resulted in Top 5 finishes. He showed decent speed at Phoenix even with Toyota’s early struggles in the Next-Gen car qualifying 2nd. And, he Finished 6th in New Hampshire a few races ago.
Hamlin was a miniature piece of tape at Pocono and a late pit issue last week in Michigan from leading the Cup Series in wins at 4 and being the winner of TWO of the last three races heading into Sunday. I’m not a huge fan of betting the top of the board but 6/1 for a race favorite with as good of history as Hamlin has here seems like great value.
Federated Auto Parts 400 Best Bet: Joey Logano Top 10 -135
This one pains me to pick but Logano has been super consistent in Richmond. He has the 5th best average finish among active drivers at 10th and a ridiculous 6th place average finish over the last 18 races here. He looked great in the Spring race here finishing stages 1 & 2 inside the top 10 but finishing 17th after a long pit stop late.
Additionally, Joey has had good cars at similar tracks all season. He finished 8th in Phoenix, won the Cup Series’ first race at Gateway, and lead 25 laps in New Hampshire. Overall, Logano has the 3rd best speed ranking at these shorter flat tracks for the 2022 season. These odds are more in-line with “maybe” to top 10 drivers and not someone with his track record.
