Well Game 2 might not have been close, but it sure was entertaining. Even for the Avalanche, it was shocking how dominant they were from start to finish against the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champion Lightning. The series shifts back to Tampa for Games 3 tonight in what’s as close to a must win as you can get for the Bolts. Colorado put together one of the most dominant Stanley Cup Final performances ever on Saturday night with a 7-0 shutout win and holding Tampa to just 16 shots on goal and controlling the play from start to finish. We’ll see if Tampa can fight back tonight, no doubt we’ll see a desperate effort from them. I’m back on FanDuel for my bets tonight. Avalanche Team Total Over 2.5 (-144)

It’s heavy juice to lay here, but all signs indicate that it’s the smart bet. Colorado’s offense just keeps getting better and better. Vasilevskiy won’t be as bad tonight as he was Saturday, and Tampa really needs a win tonight but even when you contain the Avs offense, 3-4 goals is still possible. Yes Tampa is the best team Colorado has seen so far, but the Avs have only been held under 3 goals once in 16 games this postseason. So yea, it’s a lot of juice to lay here but with this offense it’s worth the squeeze.

Nicholas Paul (+320) & Alex Killorn (+320) Anytime Goal Scorer

Two longshots for Tampa to hit the back of the net tonight. Nicholas Paul is a bottom six forward usually more defensively focused, but he’s come up big on the scoresheet a few times for Tampa so far in the playoffs. He scored in Game 1 against Colorado when they got off to their fast start. He came up big late in the series against Toronto with 2 game 7 goals. He chipped in with a goal vs New York in Game 2 in a game they ended up losing, but the goal got them back into it. Long story short, he’s been scoring in big spots. As for Alex Killorn, he had a career season offensively with 59 points and 25 goals, but has been snakebit all playoffs. He’s been a key contributor for Tampa through their Cup runs and even before that playing a big role for the 2015 Eastern Conference Champion Lightning. A spot like tonight seems like a great place for him to pick up his first goal of the postseason, and at +320 for a 25-goal scorer, I like the bet.
