The Stanley Cup Playoffs roll right along tonight with 3 games on the slate. We have a pair of 2-2 series scores and the Penguins will look to close out the Rangers taking the series to Madison Square Garden with a 3-1 lead. We went 1-1 with our picks last night with the winner being a +134 winner on the Hurricanes Team Total over 3.5. The Wild looked well on their way to cashing a Team Total over 3.5 taking a 2-1 lead into the locker room after the 1st Period, but the wheels fell off quick for them. Jordan Binnington was fantastic and we got a look at vintage Vlad Tarasenko. Back on FanDuel for my lines tonight, you can get a risk-free bet up to $1,000 with them by signing up HERE and making your initial deposit. Onto the picks.

Penguins ML (+114) vs Rangers (PIT leads 3-1)

I loved the Rangers heading into the playoffs. I loved the young talent. I loved the young goaltender who’s going to win the Vezina. Loved their moves at the deadline to add depth. But the moment just appears to be a little too big for them. 14 goals allowed total in Games 3 & 4 isn’t going to get the job done. Shesterkin has been bad, Adam Fox hasn’t looked like himself. I think this Rangers core is going to do some really good things going forward, but the way they lost those two games in Pittsburgh is just so deflating. There’s a chance we see the Rangers play without any pressure tonight and explode, but at plus-money I like the Playoff-proven Penguins to close the series out.

Flames Team Total Over 3.5 (+128) vs Stars

After a slow start offensively in the series, the Flames seemed to find something on the road. Sure they lost Game 3, but they racked up 41 shots and ran into a hot goaltender in Jake Oettinger. Game 4 they were even better peppering Oettinger with 54 shots on goal in a 4-1 win. I think coming back after a pair of solid performances on the road and a big Game 4 win we see a fired up Flames team. More often than not, the teams with proven playoff coaches get better as the series goes on. Darryl Sutter is as proven of a playoff coach in hockey today. I think the Flames keep getting better. No value on the ML, so I’ll take the team total over.
