The 2nd Round is officially over after the Rangers blew out the Canes in Game 7 and we can officially get ready for the McDavid vs MacKinnon, Oilers vs Avs showdown in the Western Conference Final. Edmonton and Colorado get going Tuesday night in what seems like a dream scenario for the NHL. The league’s best player against the league’s best team with a Top 5 player in the NHL. Can McDavid carry the Oilers past their toughest test yet? Now that this Avs core finally got past the 2nd Round, will they cruise to a Stanley Cup Final? Let’s get it started! Remember when doing series and/or futures pricing to do some shopping around different sites to check for the best prices. Game 1/Series Winner Avalanche/Avalanche (-105)

I faded the Oilers in the Battle of Alberta and it came back to bite me. But really what killed Calgary in that series was goaltending. Jacob Markstrom was terrible. Their defense was terrible. Colorado’s goaltending is solid with Darcy Kuemper and their defense is among the best in the NHL including probably the league’s best defenseman in Cale Makar. Connor McDavid is having an unreal playoffs and will do his best in this series to put the Oilers on his back, but in the end I think Colorado is too much. I don’t see them dropping Game 1 at home, I don’t see them losing the series.

Game 1: Connor McDavid/Nathan MacKinnon Anytime Goal Scorer Parlay (+419)

After a 5-goal performance in a 4-0 sweep of Nashville, Nathan MacKinnon was held without a goal until Game 5 vs St. Louis where he exploded with a hat trick. The Blues are a very solid defensive team and have four lines that play you tough. The Predators weren’t as much. This matchup seems more like the Predators series for MacKinnon. Not to say he’ll score every game, but I think he’ll have an easier time generating chances and have more space than St. Louis allowed him. McDavid will get his in this series as he always does. Let’s have some fun with this one, hope the stars score and watch some fireworks tonight.
