NFL Odds & Best Bets: NFL Draft Props – First Round

NFL Combine

The NFL Draft is here and no matter what rumors we’ve heard, you can assume they’re all bs! I looked over the NFL Draft Props at Fanduel Sportsbook and picked a few first-round bets that piqued my interest. This is probably also a great time to remind you about our exclusive NFL Draft promotion from Fanduel Sportsbook. Sign up and bet $5 on any NFL Draft prop to get a free $125 in site credit. I mean, who doesn’t want free money?! Anyways, here are my three favorite NFL Draft Props for round number one.

NFL Draft Props

Houston Texans Position of first drafted player – Cornerback +125

The Texans are in need of multiple positions ahead of next year with O-line and corner being the most glaring. Recent talks have tied Derek Stingley Jr. to Houston at pick 3 and Sauce Gardner has skyrocketed up draft boards. There are far more first-round worthy O-lineman available compared to just Stingley Jr. and Gardner from the CB room. Houston may move out of pick no.3 but will still want to secure one of the two top CBs. To do this, they’ll more than likely have to grab one of the studs ahead of their second pick way back at no.13.

Number 3 overall pick – Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner +600

As I said above, the Texans have been linked to Stingley Jr. but it’s Sauce Gardner who’s the betting favorite to be the top CB taken. Gardner has skyrocketed up boards and has been mentioned as a potential surprise pick by Detroit with the 2nd pick. The odds don’t match up here and should be far shorter. Grabbing “Sauce” at the same pick rumored to be another CBs landing spot makes too much sense.

Desmond Ridder – Draft Position Under 30.5

Ridder was one of my favorite college QBs this past year and a player with a ton of experience. He’s moved up draft boards and is now the favorite to be the 3rd QB taken in this year’s draft. No matter how people grade this class of throwers, the QB position is always a need especially knowing you’re just an injury away from your backup starting. He was a four-year starter at Cincinnati and improved each year while being the leader of his team. This experience and his underrated athleticism should have him sneaking inside pick 30 tonight.
