The “Play-in” tournament is just about behind us and the real playoffs are finally about to begin. Although there are a couple of new faces atop the Western Conference, a recent power shouldn’t be forgotten. I’m headed to the Bay where the Golden State Warriors are ready to reclaim their spot as Best in the West. Here is my Ticket of the Day.
The Warriors battled through a couple of abysmal seasons but have returned with a vengeance. They started out the year playing the best ball in the NBA and finished with the 3rd best record in the league. Yes, they struggled down the stretch going 15-16 since February but also never saw extended minutes with Steph, Draymond, and Klay on the court. The ended they year winning five straight and should be at their healthiest as the playoffs begin.
Ticket of the Day
Golden State Warriors to Win 2022 NBA Championship – 8.88/1 ($75.00) $741.00
The Warriors used these last two seasons to build a deeper and possibly more competitive roster than they’ve had in some time. The extended absences of their “big 3” over the last couple of years has allowed Jordan Poole & Andrew Wiggings to become much better players. Wiggins made his first All-Star team this season, and Poole improved his scoring to over 18 points/gm. This team is so much more than just Steph and Klay now, and is as dynamic a roster as they’ve had in the Bay Area. They have a tough first round matchup against Denver, but at full strength, the Warriors are as good as anyone. They’re 8 to 8.5/1 at almost every sportsbook right now and their odds will only shrink.
