As has been the case this season, at least one of my props has missed because the player has completely bucked their trend. Last entry, it was rookie Kyle Bradish who surprised. He hadn’t struck out more than 3 hitters in either of his starts so, of course, he would go 7 innings and K 11 Cardinals. We’re still searching for our first winning MLB entry of the season and hopefully, it happens today. Here are my Prizepicks MLB Props of the day. Can we hit a winner?
MLB Props of the Day – Can we hit a winner?
Ke’Bryan Hayes (Pit) – Over 6.5 Hitter Fantasy Score
Ke’Bryan has crushed the Reds during his young career. In 72 plate appearances, he’s batting .362 & has an OBP of .389 against them. Hayes has scored 10 runs, hit 2 HR, and knocked in 6 during these matchups. He faced today’s Reds starter Connor Overton earlier this season and went 1-3 with an RBI against the righty. Ke’Bryan has topped this prop total in three of his last four games including his last game against Cincinnati.
Yankees at White Sox – Under 0.5 1st inning runs allowed
These are two of the most explosive offenses in baseball but scoring could be limited early here. The Yankees are starting Luis Gil who nobody on Chicago has ever faced. Gil allowed a first-inning run in just one of his six 2021 starts. Dylan Cease for the Sox has been one of baseball’s top starters and hasn’t allowed a 1st inning run all season. New York is batting just .198 the first time through the order against opposing starters. While the White Sox aren’t much better, at .210 on the season.
