Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox – 7:10pm CT

  • O/U 7.5
  • Zach Plesac (1-3, 4.44 ERA) vs Michael Kopech (0-0, 1.17 ERA)

Heading to the place I know most for the first bet of the day, let’s talk White Sox baseball. Zach Plesac hasn’t been all that great this season. For the first few seasons of his career he was quite good against the South Siders, up until last season. In 2 starts at Guaranteed Rate Field last season, Plesac was 1-1 but in just 6.1 Innings pitched he gave up 6 ER, walked 4, a WHIP of 2.21 and let the Sox hit a whopping .345 against him.

Kopech has been very good for the Sox who after an 8-game losing streak and losing 10 out of 11 find themselves back above .500 thanks to great pitching and timely hitting in a 6-game win streak. The Sox also get the added boost of Yoan Moncada back into the lineup and Joe Kelly into the bullpen to go along with a rested Liam Hendriks and Joe Kelly.

Pick: White Sox -1.5 (+112), Under 7.5 (-110)

Chicago Cubs vs San Diego Padres – 8:40pm CT

  • O/U 7/5
  • Kyle Hendricks (1-3, 5.64 ERA) vs MacKenzie Gore (2-0, 1.71 ERA)

Both teams enter this one looking for the bats to wake up a bit. The Padres just took 3 of 4 against the Marlins at Petco Park, but didn’t score more than 3 runs in any of those games. The Cubs, after getting off to a good start at the plate this season, have been slumping big time. They’re 1-8 in their last 9 and averaging just 1.33 runs per game in that stretch.

Kyle Hendricks has had a rough go of it so far in 2022. He has 6 starts thus far and he’s given up 4+ ER in 3 of them. He’s given up 10 ER in his last 10.0 Innings as well as 5 HR. So will the Padres snap out of their lineup slump vs Hendricks or the other way around?

Pick: Gore 6+ Strikeouts & Padres win (+136)

Colorado Rockies vs San Francisco Giants – 8:45pm CT

  • O/U 6.5
  • Austin Gomber (2-2, 3.58 ERA) vs Carlos Rodon (3-1, 1.55 ERA)

At first glance, this one looks like take the Giants and run with Carlos Rodon on the mound who’s been lights out this year. But the Rockies have had their way against LHP this season hitting .311 and owning a team OPS of .821. San Francisco snapped out of their 5-game slump with back to back big wins to close out their series with the Cardinals.

The Rockies just dropped 2 of 3 on the road vs Arizona and scored just 5 runs in those 3 games. The way these two have been playing, I tend to lead toward the Giants and their run line but the Rockies big success against lefties this season scares me a little bit.

Pick: Carlos Rodon Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-136)
