A pretty normal slate in the MLB today with a few getaway games getting started early. As the calendar turns to June, the divisions are starting to take some shape and we’re learning more and more about who these teams are. Sometimes baseball betting can be hard when you have some lopsided matchups like there are on today’s slate. Even the runlines aren’t all that enticing. One way to find some value is putting together a parlay of heavy favorites. I put together a 3-team parlay for Wednesday’s MLB action with some heavy favorite moneylines. Onto the picks.

3-Leg Parlay: Dodgers ML, Astros ML, Mets ML (+177)

  • Mets ML (-250)

We’re on the Mets moneyline because they’ve been one of the most consistently good teams in baseball. They lost DeGrom before the season, Scherzer midseason, and they’re still rolling right along without missing a beat. Carlos Carrasco throws for the Mets today against Evan Lee who’s making his first start out the season. The Mets are 7-2 against the Nats this season and have outscored Washington 23-0 in the first two games of this series. Carrasco is 5-1 this season for New York.

  • Astros ML (-225)

Justin Verlander throws for Houston in what’s a very good pitching matchup today in Oakland with Cole Irvin. Both pitchers have been really good this year, but Oakland’s lineup has been really bad hitting just .213 as a team. The A’s have scored just two runs so far in this series. The Astros bats haven’t been great on this road trip, but they’ve done enough offensively to beat Oakland this series. With Verlander on the mound, I think they do that again today.

  • Dodgers ML (-255)

Taking the Dodgers ML at home against the Pirates probably doesn’t even need an explanation, but I’ll still give one for this matchup. The Pirates have taken the first two games of this series, and I just can’t see the Dodgers getting swept at home by Pittsburgh. Jose Quintana throws for Pittsburgh and he’s doing his best early on this year to be a deadline trade chip. Mitch White throws for the Dodgers and he’s been fine. Really this one’s just added to the card because it’s hard to see Pittsburgh sweeping the Dodgers on the road.
