UFC Fight Night Best Bet: Santos vs Hill

What’s better than winning a bet? Winning one in under two minutes. Alexandre Pantoja came out with an intense pace last week and almost immediately grabbed the back of Alex Perez to force the submission to cash our first MMA bet here. Now we head back to the Apex in Las Vegas for a fight night that could be sneaky good Saturday night. Let’s check out one of my favorite bets this week.

Ariane Lipski (-170, Caesars) Over Priscila Cachoeira

With a record of 14-7, it hasn’t come easy for Ariane Lipski. “The Queen of Violence” came into the UFC on a nine-fight win streak, but she left something behind in her debut. The jiu-jitsu to finish things on the ground and a violent stand-up, she didn’t show any of it in her first two UFC fights. She then went on a rotating door of two wins and two losses before getting back on track in her last fight.  A win here would keep the trend going.

She takes on Priscila Cachoeira who comes in winning three of her last four. After losing her first three UFC fights, she saved her spot on the roster with this current run but she’s not beating anyone she shouldn’t. Absorbing 7.91 strikes per minute, Cachoeira is essentially taking two for every one strike that she dishes. She packs some power but overall, there is a significant gap here that the UFC recognizes. A very hittable opponent is a perfect setup for Lipski as she’ll be able to let her hands go and not worry about things hitting the ground. She missed weight Friday morning and while she’ll forfeit 20% of her purse, her body didn’t have to go through the full punishment of attempting it again. She should be able to fully hydrate and give it her all Saturday night in a fight that’s hers to win or lose.
