Picking MLB games is a complex and tiring task with shaky bullpens, weird extra inning rules, and the natural state of the game. One way to attack the sport and have fun while we’re at it is by betting MLB player props. With that in mind, I found a couple of my favorites for today’s schedule of games and gave a quick explanation as to why I’m betting them below. Check out my MLB Player Props of the day.

MLB Player Props – July 25th
Andrew McCutchen Over 0.5 Runs (-105, DraftKings) Bet 1u to win .95u
Cutch has been pretty clutch lately for the Brewers batting .264, scoring 12 runs, and knocking in 13 since the beginning of July. He’s crossed home plate in five of the team’s last six games and gets to face one of baseball’s most disappointing pitchers Kyle Freeland. Freeland is allowing the 5th most Hits/9 at 9.8, and has allowed 4+ runs in three straight starts. McCutchen has hit him well over his career and these two teams have combined to score 11 or more runs in each of their previous three games. With another high-scoring affair on tap, I expect the veteran to touch home plate at least once.

Yordan Alvarez HR (+280, Caesars) & Over 0.5 RBI (+125, Draftkings)
Alvarez has dealt with some injuries recently but still has some eye-popping numbers this season. His 9.9 AB/HR is 2nd to Aaron Judge (9.6). In about 70 or so less ABs he has the 8th most RBI at 65. And the big lefty returned from the IL this last weekend hitting 2 HR and knocking in 5 guys over his 3 games started. Alvarez and the ‘Stros face A’s righty Adam Oller who has been terrible to put it lightly as a starter this year.
In his five starts, Oller has surrendered 5+ runs in three of them and most recently gave up 6 hits, 2 HR, and 3 runs to Houston back on July 17th. Worse off for him is that Yordan is absolutely crushing RHP this season, hitting .343 with 22 of his 28 HR and 46 RBI in just 181 ABs. Alvarez, should he play, is primed for another explosive game.
