MLB Player Props: Best Baseball Player Props for August 4th

Eddie Rosario high-fiving teammates

Picking MLB games is a complex and tiring task with shaky bullpens, weird extra inning rules, and the natural state of the game. One way to attack the sport and have fun while you’re at it, is by betting MLB player props. We’re definitely having fun at the moment as we netted another 2.64 units yesterday putting us up over 6.5 units the last two days. I shopped the player prop market and found my favorite MLB player props for today’s schedule of games. Check out my choices for the Best Baseball Player Props for August 4th.

Best Baseball Player Props for August 4th

Justin Verlander Over 5.5 K’s (-106, Fanduel) Bet 2u to win 1.88u

The Guardians are possibly the toughest team in baseball to strike out having done so an MLB-low 732 times on the year. However, this pesky lineup has almost zero experience in facing future hall of famer Justin Verlander. The only guy in their lineup with past experience against him is Jose Ramirez and his last AB against him was in 2019.

Verlander is throwing as hard as he ever has, and is still stirking out close to 9 hitters/9. The hard-throwing righty has gone over this prop in four of his last five starts. He’s gone over this number in seven of his ten road outings this season. This Cleveland team will be taken to school tonight by the veteran and I am surprised this prop is set so low.

Eddie Rosario to get a Hit (-195, Fanduel) Bet 3u to win 1.54u

The first month of the season was horrendous for Rosario and was capped off by him hitting the I.L. late in April. Since returning from injury in early July though, Eddie has hit much better than his early season form. Over his last 10 games, Rosario is hitting .290 and has a hit in five of the ten and should make it six of eleven tonight.

You see, Carlos Carassco is on the mound for the Mets and Eddie has loved facing him in the past. In 34 career ABs against the RHP, he’s batting .364 with 2 HR and 4 RBI including going 2-for-3 last season. Rosario’s history against “Cookie” and the fact he may see some good pitches batting behind Austin Riley and in front of Marcell Ozuna make this a no brainer bet for me.
