Picking MLB games is a complex and tiring task with shaky bullpens, weird extra inning rules, and the natural state of the game. One of the best ways to attack the sport and have fun in the process, is by betting MLB player props. Last week was our second consecutive profitable one as we finished up close to 3.5 units. That’s great, but it’s the start of a new week, and everything is wiped clean. Let’s continue this hot streak with my choices for the Best Baseball Player Props for August 22nd.

Best Baseball Player Props for August 22nd
Paul Goldschmidt Hit (-230, Fanduel) Bet 5u to win 2.15u & Nolan Arenado Over 0.5 RBI (+110, DraftKings) Bet 2u to win 2.20u
As far as offensive duos go, Goldy and Nolan might be baseball’s best this year. Goldschmidt is the clear favorite for NL MVP batting .340 with 31 HR and 100 RBI. While Arenado, is batting .299 with 25 HR and 81 RBI.
The Cards’ first-baseman is scolding hot at the plate right now batting over .400 since the beginning of the month and having at least one hit in 14 of the 18 games. Nolan is also on a heater batting over .340 with an RBI in 13 of those 18 games. Paul is crushing LHP this year and is 2-for-5 of Drew Smyly. Arenado is 3-for-7 off of Smyly with a HR and 3 RBI, and I expect both sluggers to feast off him tonight.
Justin Turner Over 0.5 RBI (+160, PointsBet) Bet 1u win 1.6u
Turner has returned to form since the beginning of July batting .330 and knocking in 21 runners. His success is surely helped by the fact his Dodgers are like gangbusters right now and scoring runs at will. Batting behind hitters like Mookie, Trea, and Freddie, always presents plenty of opportunities for RBI, and he’s cashed in frequently of late. Turner has an RBI in 6 of his 11 games this month, and in his last two. Eric Lauer just pitched against the boys from Hollywood back on August 17th, and a lineup like LA’s isn’t one too easily fooled twice.
