Alright so we may not have any REAL baseball but what we do have tonight are Home Runs! Say what you want about the Home Run Derby, but it’s gotten more fun over the past few seasons and it’s a great way to still get some sports betting in during the most dead period on the sports calendar. We still have some big names going at it tonight and whole lot of Home Runs to be hit, so let’s take a look at the betting odds for tonight’s derby on FanDuel.

Juan Soto vs Ronald Acuna Final +1100

Soto has plenty of experience in the Home Run Derby and he’s got his batting practice pitcher. Acuna has also been here before and took his pitching choice seriously. When picking HR Derby bets, it’s all about value as well as taking a look at who is pitching for each as well as how much experience each hitter has. Knowing how to pace yourself, knowing which pitches to swing and which to take all come into consideration. These guys have been here before and know how to do that.

Pete Alonso to beat Juan Soto Finals Exacta (+700)

No reason to not take a flier on Pete Alonso. He’s the two-time defending Home Run Derby champion. He knows what he’s doing and he’s hit so many Home Runs in this competition before. Like I said above, experience in this event matters and no one outside of Pujols in this derby has more or better experience than Alonso in this event. Not a whole lot of value on Alonso outright at +185, so let’s take a shot on the Exacta in the Final if I like Soto to get there already.
