Kyle Schwarber batting against the Nationals

It was a pretty efficient night at the window for us on Tuesday, the Yankees and Twins were washed out so no action on those bets, but we went 2-1 on our other bets including a plus-money winner and an even money winner. The White Sox and Mariners 1st Half alt under 3.5 was never in doubt as not only did that 1st Half stay under 3.5, but the whole game did as well with a 3-0 final score. Austin Riley wasn’t able to go deep for the Braves, but he was able to record an RBI to cash that bet in a high-scoring affair against the A’s in Oakland. Mets 1st Half -1.5 (+108) vs Pirates (Game 1)

I think we’re going to learn a bit about the Mets in these two games. After holding off the charging Braves for months, a 3-game losing streak to the Nationals and Pirates has allowed the Braves to draw even with the Mets in the N.L. East. I think we’ll learn a lot about this Mets team today and how they respond. It’s a doubleheader vs the Pirates. The Mets have a massive advantage on the mound in Game 1 with Chris Bassitt and his 3.32 ERA going up against Bryse Wilson and his 6.12 ERA. I think the Mets start fast and spark a doubleheader sweep, especially with this Game 1 advantage on the mound. The offense is too talented to slump for much longer.

Phillies -1.5 (+128) vs Marlins

The Marlins are really circling the drain here as they limp toward the end of the season. Miami has lost 9 in a row and 10 of their last 11. Philly has won 7 of their last 8 against the Marlins and 6 of those came while covering the -1.5. Last time out against the Phillies, which was two starts ago, Trevor Rogers allowed 4 ER and 7 H over 6.0 IP. That’s not awful, but the Marlins offense likely needs more help. Over the season he’s been pretty bad with a 5.57 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. Bailey Falter throws for Philly, he has recorded quality starts in each of his last 4 starts, and in that span he’s only issued 3 walks. If he’s not issuing the free passes, the Phillies should be fine in this one.
