Paul Goldschmidt high-fiving teammates

Picking MLB games is a complex and tiring task with shaky bullpens, weird extra inning rules, and the natural state of the game. One way to attack the sport and have fun while you’re at it, is by betting MLB player props. And the winning continues! We’re 4-0 so far this week and up over 5 units after hitting our two props yesterday. Let’s try to keep seeing green with a couple more winners as I bring you my choices for the Best Baseball Player Props for August 11th.

Best Baseball Player Props for August 11th

Dylan Cease Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-105, BetMGM) Bet 3u to win 2.86u

Dylan has really blossomed since last year and has taken it up a notch in 2022. He’s amongst the League’s pitching leaders in WAR, ERA, and hits allowed per 9 IP. But most importantly for our purposes, he finished 2nd in strikeouts per 9 IP at 12.278 last season and he ranks 2nd this year at 12.18.

Cease has struggled according to his standards in this department recently, striking out a total of 16 batters over his last three starts combined. This should change tonight as he goes against a Royals team that he’s struck out 9+ against in both starts this season and in each of his last four starts dating back to last season. He’s gone over this number in 14 of his 22 starts this year and I think he makes it 15 of 23 tonight.

Paul Goldschmidt Over 0.5 RBI (+110, PointsBet) Bet 1u to win 1.10u

Goldy has been incredible this season and is without question, the NL MVP at this moment. He has MLB’s 2nd best BA of .328 and offensive WAR at 5.6 just behind Aaron Judge. He leads the league in OBP and is 3rd in both Slugging % and OPS. Lastly, he has the 4th most RBI in baseball at 84.

Goldschmidt is on pace to shatter his season high in RBI with the Cardinals and has a great shot to add to his season total tonight against German Marquez and the Rockies. Paul is 13-for-34 with 4 HR and 8 RBI against Marquez and Coors Field has yielded a .324 career BA to him. Marquez has the league’s 2nd worst ERA and WHIP, while the Rockies as a team are allowing the 2nd most runs per game at 5.39. At plus money, against this pitcher, in Coors Field, this bet is too enticing to pass up.
