Twins vs Guardians 1st Half Alt. Under 3.5 (+104, FanDuel)

I’m not totally sure why this just isn’t the 1st Half under. Right now on FanDuel they have the 1st Half under 4.5 and -160 which is value I want no part of. I do like the value here at the under 3.5. Two pretty solid pitchers throwing for this day baseball game in Sonny Gray for the Twins and Cal Quantrill for the Guardians. This is the 5th and final game of this series. In 3 of the 4 games, Minnesota has scored 3 or fewer runs. The one game they scored 6 runs was aa 15-inning loss, and in that game they put up. a 5-run 8th but managed just 1 run in the other 14 frames.

For Cleveland, their offense hasn’t been bad but also hasn’t exactly set the world on fire. They were shut out yesterday in a 3-0 loss, and in the other 3 scored 7 (15-inning game), 4, and 5. Both pitchers have thrown the ball well in their last two starts. Quantrill two starts ago threw 5.0 innings with just 1 ER allowed. Sonny Gray has allowed just 1 ER in 15.0 innings over his last two starts with 15 strikeouts.

Mets ML (-104, FanDuel) vs Brewers

This one should be a really fun game. Two aces on the mound, two teams in the heat of a playoff race. The Brewers are just 2 games behind the Phillies for the last NL Wild Card slot and the Mets hold a 1 game lead over the charging Atlanta Braves. Both teams need a win tonight with the Phillies getting Monday off and the Braves hosting the lowly Nationals.

Max Scherzer makes his return from the IL for New York coming off an oblique injury. He’s been everything and more the Mets could have asked for when they signed him this offseason. Scherzer’s previous two starts before heading to the IL were very good, recording just 1 ER in each of them and racking up a combined 16 strikeouts. I’m looking for a refreshed Mad Max to come up big for the Mets like he has throughout his career in big game situations.

For the Brewers, Corbin Burnes has been good all season but the 2021 NL Cy Young winner has struggled a little bit as of late. His last two starts were good, but he’s been susceptible to the long ball over the last month. In his last 4 starts, he’s allowed a combined 5 HR. Both teams have been playin solid baseball as of late. The Brewers are fresh off taking 2 of 3 against the Yankees, while the Mets swept the Pirates in 4 games. This should be a really fun pitching matchup.

Logan Gilbert Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-112, FanDuel)

Gilbert has seen his K’s numbers fluctuate throughout the season but he’s gone over this prop in two of his last three starts. Those two outings were 9 K performances and he’s had success against the Angels team already in 2022. He’s made two starts against them, lasting 5 2/3 and 6 innings respectively, while striking out 6 and 7 guys during those games. Anaheim (yes, I’m stubborn) has struck out more than any other team this year, and Logan is working on a full five days of rest. I’ll put my trust in the hard-throwing righty and add him on to our top MLB Prop Bets for September 19th.
