Mets -1.5 (+122) vs Cubs

A whole lot of plus money value here for one of the league’s best teams going up against one of the league’s worst riding a 9-game losing streak. David Peterson and Adrian Sampson have both been solid on the mound for their respective teams this season, but the Cubs just keep finding ways to lose while the Mets keep finding ways to win. The Mets look for the 4-game sweep, they’ve only covered the -1.5 in 1 of the 3 wins, but this one feels like it’s too good of value to pass up on. Really good team vs really bad team, plus money run line odds. Take it.

White Sox ML (-116) vs Twins

Alright, it might be a homer pick and maybe I’m putting on the clown makeup here but the Sox have looked rejuvenated so far in the 3 games vs the Twins taking 2 of the first 3. Dylan Cease is on the mound for them and he’s been one of the best pitchers in the AL this season. Over his last 9 starts, Cease owns a 0.53 ERA and opponents are hitting just .176 against him. Chris Archer has been very good for Minnesota this year and the Sox struggle against righties, so the under 8.5 might be worth a look here too. But I’m going to back Cease and the Sox headed into the break.
