Our last college basketball entry was February 16th and it was another split. Things looked good when Dane Goodwin (Notre Dame) blew past his points prop in the first half. This was short lived as Bryson Williams (Texas Tech) topped his scoring prop early on. The 1-1 entry moves our winless streak to four straight. Let’s not get to five. Here are my college basketball PrizePicks props of the day.
Overall Record 34-25-2 (current as of February 24th)
PrizePicks Props of the Day
Race Thompson (F, Indiana) vs. Maryland – Over/Under 21.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
While playing alongside All-American Trayce Jackson-Davis, Thompson is often overlooked and continues to be undervalued. Race is having his season to date and is playing the best basketball of his Hoosiers career. He is in the midst of a seven game stretch averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Thompson and Indiana played these Terps during this stretch and he posted 18 & 12 against them. He has eclipsed this prop five times during this span and should continue doing so with opponents keying on TJD.
Over 21.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
Chet Holmgren (F, Gonzaga) at San Francisco – Over/Under 14.5 Points
The freshman unicorn has definitely lived up to expectations. He’s averaging 14.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2 assists on the season and has really turned up the heat of late. Over the last nine games, Chet is averaging a double-double at 16.2 pts and 11.6 reb per game. During this stretch was a matchup against San Fran where he scored 22 and wrangled in 9 boards. Tonight’s points prop has been eclipsed five times over these nine games and easily could have been six. Yes, San Francisco has a very tough defense, but they can struggle against size. Chet will be the tallest player on the floor and has already tortured the Dons for over 20.
